Bio
Hi! I am an Icelandic Jewellery Artist based in Reykjavik
I was born in 1990 on a cold island in the north Atlantic ocean, Iceland. As a jewellery artist I am greatly influenced by the vast and divergent nature of my home country. I fell in love with crafts during my diploma degree in ceramics at the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts. However Jewellery Art was always on my mind. So I moved to Beautiful Norway and studied Metal and Jewellery at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. I recently moved from Montréal Canada and now live back in my hometown Reykjavik Iceland.
I love how jewellery can tell stories and be intimate and personal. In my work I try to investigate the action of drawing within the creative process of thinking and making. The results are delicate wearable wire objects, fragile like nature itself.
