Fræ - Seeds - 2016
The idea of making a precious object out of non precious material occupies my thoughts. I wish to put things unnoticed on a pedestal, give them a new life, I want people to notice beauty in simple commonplace things.
Floating on a copper wire as thin as a hair, I thread seeds, leaves and berries like pearls on a string. What used to be red juicy bird berries change shape and colour every day as they dry and crisp up. The delicate seeds can easily fall off to the ground and create a new life along the wearers way.

The element of fragility can give the wearer a visual sense of time. A reminder of living in the moment. Being weightless, delicate, dry and almost untouchable, strong but fragile, dead but alive.
